Kaiviti Silktails have dominated Glebe Dirty Reds at Mascot Oval 38-16 to get their first win of the season in the Ron Massey Cup.
Defensively both sides came out of the sheds firing, however Glebe Dirty Reds made an unforced error which gifted Silktails attacking field position early in the game. Ratu Vasuturaga went across for the first try of the game down the left edge and the conversion was successful by five-eighth Waisale Nayavucere.
In the 14th minute, a terrific kick by Silktails’s halfback Penioni Tagituimua saw centre Tomasi Vanicagi go over in the corner. The conversion was successful to give them a 12-nil lead.

The Kaiviti Silktails have put any religious concerns behind them as they prepare to play Windsor Wolves in Round Four of the Ron Massey Cup, with the game being brought forward to Good Friday.
Originally the match was set down for Easter Saturday afternoon at the Windsor Sports Complex but with that ground still heavily water-logged from the recent wet weather, the game has now shifted tomorrow to Hammondville Oval in Moorebank.
Several players in the Silktails 28-man squad have a strong Christian faith, so playing football on one of the holiest days in the calendar might have been an issue but coach Wes Naiqama maintains his players are comfortable with it.
