Updated 5/14/2021 11:30 PM College of DuPage student Samiha Syed of Lombard has received the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, the largest private scholarship in the nation for community college transfer students. The award consists of $40,000 annually to cover educational costs including tuition, living expenses, books and fees during the final two or three years as the recipient completes a bachelor s degree. Syed is one of 72 students nationwide to receive the scholarship and the ninth COD recipient in the college s history. ....

Posted2/13/2021 12:40 AM The Illinois Board of Higher Education recently announced that College of DuPage Humanities Professor and Global Education Faculty Liaison Julia diLiberti, and Student Trustee Samiha Syed have been appointed to a new Strategic Planning Advisory Committee. The committee aims to create an equitable, accessible and innovative higher education ecosystem across Illinois that ensures students and communities thrive. Members of the advisory committee will develop strategies to increase affordability and workplace needs, IBHE Board Chair John Atkinson said.
