A Virginia Beach woman was arrested for driving under the influence after an SUV hit two Virginia State Police vehicles on Interstate 264 overnight, according to spokesperson Sgt. Michelle Anaya. Both troopers were not in their vehicles at the time of the crash and were not injured, Anaya said. The incident happened sometime after 1 a.m. Friday when the troopers were assisting Virginia Beach Police on a traffic stop off westbound I-264, west of Rosemont Road.

Erwin then ran off the roadway and struck the jersey wall. There were no injuries.

2 Jennings County traffic stops yield 5 drug-related arrests

Courtesy-WRBI NORTH VERNON, Ind. – In two separate traffic stops last week in Jennings County, five people were arrested. In one incident, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) K-9 Axel supposedly alerted to narcotics in a vehicle. Several syringes, paraphernalia, pills, and approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine were allegedly found inside. Bruce Martin, 35, of Columbus, was booked for possession of meth, possession of syringes, and possession of paraphernalia. Cheryl Scott, 27, of Columbus, was charged with legend drug acts violations. Katherine Hadley was arrested on a Bartholomew County warrant. In the second traffic stop, JCSO took two suspects into custody. Steven D. Robbins, of North Vernon, was arrested for possession of meth, obstruction of justice, possession of paraphernalia, and a Ripley County warrant. Samantha Erwin, of North Vernon, was charged with possession of meth.
