Mangaluru: A total eight government schools, including three high schools, have been selected under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SH.
The Union govt has selected 245 state-run schools in Karnataka for them to be upgraded under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PMSHRI) scheme. A total of 16 schools in Dharwad district will be developed under this Central govt initiative. These schools will be equipped with solar panels, LED lights, gardens, tabs, waste management measures, water conservation, and rainwater harvesting facilities. Science and mathematics kits will be provided to pupils at these schools, along with improved methods of teaching.
