Toys For Tickets Program Breaks Record By Raising Over $6K For Families In Need

The fifth annual ‘Toys for Tickets’ program is raising nearly $6,500 for families in need this holiday season. Drivers who received a parking infraction from December 1-15 and paid them by December 21 had their fines donated to the Salvation Army’s Adopt a Family Program. Through the program, the charity distributes holiday hampers to struggling families. In previous years, motorists were able to pay their fine by providing a toy of equal or greater value, however, the municipality collected all fines due to COVID-19 and donated them to the Salvation Army. This year’s total got close to the amount raised during the first four years combined.
