AMRITSAR: Despite knowing about the cancellation of Indian Sikh jatha well in advance, the officials of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) carrying bouquets and garlands arrived at Wagah (Pakistan) land border.
In the photographs clicked at Wagah (Pakistan) border, the officials of both ETPB and PSGPC including its president Satwant Singh are seen smilingly looking at camera’s and making poses.
According to highly placed sources, the intelligence agencies here had received inputs of the Pakistan government s sinister plot of exploiting Sikh sentiments and provoking them against the Indian government on the issue of farmers agitation. ....

In a letter sent to the president of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC), Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Director Avi Prakash said: “recent inputsindicate threat to the safety and security of Indian citizens visiting Pakistan. As the
Jatha which may have nearly 600 members, is scheduled to visit five Gurdwaras across Pakistan over a period of week, we apprehend considerable threat to the safety of a large number of our citizens during this visit”. ....
