News. A lightning sparked Tamarack Fire spreading overnight destroying three home so far. The Twoweekold Blaze is threatening markleeville where mandatory evacuations are underway. The fire is not 15,000 acres. That is up from 6600 acres this morning. It was only 500 acres yesterday. Firefighters are trying to establish containment lines.
