Credit: PA Two serving postmasters have been elected to the Post Office board as non-executive directors for the first time in the organisation’s 360-year history. Elliot Jacobs, who runs seven post offices including in Barnet, Haringey, and Potters Bar, and Saf Ismail, who operates six post offices in Lancashire and Greater Manchester, received the most votes in a ballot of thousands of postmasters. The Post Office said the appointments were a key milestone in the sustained reset of its relationship with postmasters.
