Work progresses on compressor station project in Hegins Township


Township solicitor Donald G. Karpowich updated Hegins Township supervisors about the project at their Dec. 2 meeting.
Williams is installing a driveway on Bridge Road and has posted its permit. A “No Traffic Beyond This Point” sign was placed to keep truck traffic down, with most heavy traffic using Deep Creek Road instead of Bridge Road, according to Karpowich’s report. A road inspector site visit was on Dec. 1.
Williams’ submitted building permit plans are being reviewed to identify any necessary inspections. The company plans to build a 31,000 HP gas turbine-driven compressor station as part of the Leidy South Expansion project. ....
