Covid vaccine: Ministry helping senior citizens | Daily Express Online

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Ministry has begun helping the people, especially senior citizens, to register for Covid-19 vaccination.
Its Minister Shahelmy Yahya
(pic) said the agencies currently involved in the registration aid were the Public Welfare Services Department (JPKA); Women Affairs Department (JHEWA); and Sabah Community Services Council (MPMS).
“Our JPKA has started to assist the registration for senior citizens at old folks’ homes.

“Two more of our agencies - JHEWA and MPMS - are also helping to assist their respective target groups to register for the vaccination with the MySejahtera application,” he told NST when contacted. ....

ALL pupils in the 1,074 primary schools throughout Sabah will enjoy free school uniforms, shoes and stationeries by next year.
Chief Minister cum State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor said such distribution will be implemented with an allocation of RM13.9 million under School Social Assistance Programme.
 He said it aims to alleviate the burden of low-income and poor households in managing school expenses.

He said this when tabling the State Budget 2021 at the State Legislative Assembly here on Friday.
 Hajiji said the State Government allocated RM132.47m under supply and development expenditure to the Ministry of Community Development and People’s Well-Being (KPMKR).  ....
