Earlier, CIA police arrested Saad Ameer Butt, the main accused in the case. According to police sources, Saad Butt had withdrawn his interim bail. It may be recalled that a woman named Maira was killed on May 3 in Defense an area of Lahore. An autopsy report revealed that she was tortured and strangled to death. National May 20, 2021 LAHORE: The British national Pakistani girl, Mayra Zulfiqar, who was found murdered in her bedroom in a rented house in Defence was brutally tortured before being shot dead. The victim had marks of strangulation on her neck also. Her postmortem report showed that she had suffered at least six injuries, including two bullet wounds. The first bullet injury was on her neck. The bullet hit her neck and passed through her head nearby her left ear. The second bullet injury was spotted on her right arm according to the report. The third injury was of nail scratching on her left hand, fourth also of nail scratching on her left leg and fifth of abrasion on her left knee cap which suggests she also offered resistance. ....
One of two men wanted for the murder of a London-based law graduate in Pakistan has been arrested. Saad Ameer Butt, 29, was detained by police in Lahore and is currently being questioned over the killing of Mayra Zulfiqar, 24, who was shot dead in an upmarket district of the city. Police are still searching for another man, Zahir Jadoon, who is believed to have been in a relationship with Ms Zulfiqar and had rented the house in the Defence area, where her body was discovered so that they could spend time there away from her family. Police sources have told MailOnline that Butt allegedly threatened Ms Zulfiqar and was pursuing her romantically even though he knew that she was involved with Jadoon. ....
