There were no major moves, however, as investors refrained from taking on large positions ahead of this week s Federal Reserve meeting, US GDP print and corporate earnings barrage. At 7:30 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis were up 30 points, or 0.09%, S&P 500 e-minis were down 3.75points, or 0.08%, and Nasdaq 100 e-minis were down 48.75 points, or 0.37%. ....
Biden signs restrictions effectively banning travel for non-US citizens who were recently in SA By IOL Reporter Share WASHINGTON - THE White House has confirmed that President Joe Biden has signed an order on Monday imposing a ban on most non-US citizens entering the country who have recently been in South Africa starting Saturday. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki also confirmed Biden will re-impose an entry ban on nearly all non-US travellers who have been in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland and 26 countries in Europe that allow travel across open borders that was set to expire Tuesday. “With the pandemic worsening and more contagious variants spreading, this isn’t the time to be lifting restrictions on international travel,” Psaki said at a news briefing. ....
