LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â On Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky will change its mask mandate to reflect the latest guidance from the CDC that eases mask-wearing for fully vaccinated people.
The new guidance states that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear face covering indoors or outdoors in most settings. The news was welcome to many who see it as another step toward normal. I m ready to see smiling faces again, said Rylee Stafford as she was on her way to grab dinner in Downtown Lexington Thursday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â Valentine s Day is Sunday which means local businesses like florists and candy shops are getting ready to help people express their love. This year, there is a lot more love being spread around. Businesses say workers are busier than ever this holiday and they say the pandemic is the reason.
At Imperial Flowers in Lexington, the phones are ringing and business is blooming for the romantic holiday.
âIt s really busy. It s much busier than the year before,â said owner Gayle Stockdale.
