3 major bridges closed for summer construction over inches of space News 12 Staff Updated on: Jul 07, 2021, 2:33am The I-95 overpasses on Boston Post Road in Rye, Old White Plains Road in Mamaroneck and West Street in Harrison are going to be closed to drivers and pedestrians for the summer as they are raised 3 inches. The bridges are 14 feet, 3 inches, but the standard size is 14 feet, 6 inches, so there will be many detour signs this summer as the bridges are raised. A Thruway Authority spokesperson tells News 12 there haven t been notable incidents with trucks hitting the overpasses. Alexis Taal, the manager of Rye Eye Care says just one day in, traffic is already horrendous. ....
