Kellen Montgomery, Speshyock, Greg Marmo and Joe Talarcio all had multi-hit games for the Chargers. Greaney doubled and had an RBI, Mike Perez scored a run and got an RBI and Josiah Severson a hit with an RBI and threw a runner out at home plate in the seventh while playing left field.
The Chargers are now 10-3 in league play and 15-6 overall.
Dos Pueblos plays two against San Marcos next week, at San Marcos on Wednesday and at home Friday. San Marcos is in first place at 11-2.

Montgomery started on the mound and struck out five batters in three innings. Jordan Rico and Bailey finished out the game.
The Chargers improve to 9-3 (14-6 overall) and remain a game behind co-leaders San Marcos and Santa Barbara with three games left.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “Sometimes I lose focus because I know he’s going to mow them down every inning. But (Santa Barbara is) always pulling the ball to shortstop and third base, so I had to be ready and make plays.”
After suffering a 14-3 loss at home on Wednesday, Marmo said the team was relaxed going into Friday’s game. “Made some adjustments, better ABs (at-bats), better infield, get the little things right,” he said of the difference in the win.

Many coaches at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s Press Luncheon were eager to highlight the dedication of their student-athletes this season especially those who are playing multiple sports at the same time.
“I see first hand the things these kids have to go through everyday, and it really is a testament to the athletes and the sacrifices that they’re making for their teams,” said Dos Pueblos softball coach Mike Gerken. “I hope all coaches recognize the sacrifices that all of your two-sport athletes are going through right now.” ....
