Now more than ever, Republicans needed a blacklist. It neednât be very long â just eight names would suffice: John Weaver, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, George Conway, Reed Galen, Mike Madrid, Ron Steslow, and Jennifer Horn. These eight are the founding members of the Donald Trump-hating Lincoln Project, that now utterly disgraced stink bomb of a political action committee that seemed to be far more adept at sexually preying on young men and separating gullible Democrats from their money than influencing the American electorate. When we wrote about them two weeks ago, the full measure of the Lincoln Projectâs awfulness hadnât yet come into clear focus. At that time, theyâd only recently thrown their sick senior leader under the bus a full three weeks after a lone journalist named Ryan Gidursky had broken the story in The American Conservative. ....
Letâs start with what we know: John Weaver, longtime John McCain campaign strategist and cofounder of the Trump-hating Lincoln Project, is a 61-year-old homosexual child predator. We know this because heâs admitted to being the former, and because one of the 21 victims of his sexual advances who have so far come forward, Cole Trickle Miele, has credibly accused him of the latter. Miele says he was just 14 when Weaver began contacting him, and not much older when Weaver began asking him whether he was still in high school, telling him he looks âolderâ and âtaller,â and gushing about how much he wanted to âcome to Vegas and take you to dinner and drinks and spoil you!!â ....
AP Photo/Stephan Savoia, File We’ve reported about the evolving story concerning John Weaver, the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, and the accusations that he inappropriately messaged young men, allegedly making offers of professional help in exchange for sex, according to the New York Times report. 11 people spoke to reporter Maggie Astor on the record but she spoke to 21 men in total who showed her the messages. One person who Weaver messaged was as young as 14, according to the Times. While Weaver admitted to “inappropriate” messaging of men, he suggested everything was consensual and denied any of the further “smears” against him. “While I am taking full responsibility for the inappropriate messages and conversations,” Weaver wrote, “I want to state clearly that the other smears being leveled at me … are categorically false and outrageous.” ....
Don’t assist the NYT’s theft of intellectual property by reading their story or forwarding it to others. Dig through Stedman’s timeline, as well as the Tweets of Ryan Gidursky who was the first Weaver victim to identify himself as part of Stedman’s reporting. My focus here is on the reaction of one noteworthy Lincoln Project co-founder to the reporting on Weaver, and the commentary on Twitter that has followed namely George Conway. First, Donald Trump, Jr., came out of the box with the following Tweet aimed at several of the Lincoln Project founders, directing his Tweet to them individually, including Conway. ....
