Barricades have now been installed across prime beachside parking spots on Lakeshore Boulevard North in Sauble Beach.
A plan to cut back encroaching sand dunes and install a retaining wall along Lakeshore Boulevard North between the Crowd Inn and Kinloss Lane, to increase space for vehicles, was protested by the neighbouring Saugeen Ojibway Nation before being spiked by the courts in response to a resident’s request for a judicial review.

South Bruce Peninsula council directed staff to rent concrete barriers from Powell Contracting (Richmond Hill) at a cost of approximately $26,000, plus HST, to block parking spaces along Lakeshore Boulevard North at its April 20 meeting.
