THE proposed closure of three underpasses near Coate Water has faced heavy criticism. Several Adver readers were not keen on the idea of more pedestrian crossings being added to Queens Drive once the subways were decommissioned. Others thought it would be a waste of money while a few questioned why a better solution had still not been found to fix the frequent flooding that happens whenever heavy rain hits Swindon.
