that is a very, very tough attack ad put on the era group associated with bill maccallum the other republican candidate vying for the nomination who had been leading in the polls and considered a virtually uncontested shoo-in for months. maccallum is putting votes to those very same criticisms. he says scott took $300 million off of that company after a fraud investigation and is using that money to buy attack ads. jon: it s my understanding that scott took an unusual step of responding to some of those accusations in his own ad. he did. it s very important to understand that he was investigated but not charged with any wrongdoing. he left the company, and was as its leader credited with making hca one of the biggest hospital corporations if not the largest in the entire world, a great deal of success. yes he did, he has an ad out running an acknowledges that he was on hand and it was on his watch that all this happened and then tries to turn the tables on
