IMechE and Kids Invent Stuff inspire primary school children 22 Apr 2021 The Slime Gauntlets Last month, the IMechE supported the Kids Invent Stuff Science Week challenge and children were tasked with inventing something to turn a regular person into a superhero. The winning entry was from Jasmine, aged 10, whose invention was a pair of portable slime-flinging gauntlets, and Kids Invent Stuff put their engineering abilities together to make this a real piece of crime-fighting gear. With their latest invention already complete and the video preparing in the background, we caught up with Ruth Amos from Kids Invent Stuff to talk more about the engineering challenges involved in the build process and the inspiration behind their organisation. ....
Cranbrook Public Library The Cranbrook Public Library is now open with extended hours (with some restrictions and reduced services.) We encourage patrons to limit their visits to 60 minutes. We also have a maximum number of patrons allowed in the building at one time, so you may be asked to wait. Please wear a mask during your visit.
