THE YBL bus torched in M’lang, Cotabato. M’LANG, Cotabato – Police tagged a local terror group as responsible for the burning of a passenger bus here last Thursday, June 3, in which three passengers were killed and six others injured.
Police Lt. Col. Bernard Tayong, spokesperson of the Cotabato provincial police office, said the local terror group had earlier extorted money from the management of Yellow Bus Line which refused to give in to the demand of the group.
“The refusal of the bus management to give in to the demand of the suspects could have triggered the burning incident,” Tayong said.
