Anger at one-off housing implications in development plan


The chief executive of Louth County Council has been informed of the anger of some people concerning the implications for one-off housing in the Draft Development Plan.
She was made aware of the concerns of residents in rural areas, particularly North Louth and the Cooley Peninsula, that their children and grandchildren would not be able to build homes where they wanted.
At the December meeting of the local authority an attempt was made to postpone the deadline for submissions on the plan, but in a written reply to a motion proposed by Cllr Andrea McKevitt the executive stated it wasn t possible to extend the closing date of noon on 23 December 2020, to next March. ....
