A GROUP of volunteers in Llangollen have received tens of thousands of pounds worth of funding to establish a community workshop for local residents to use to build, repair and upcycle items.
A partnership between the Friends of Pengwern, Denbighshire County Council and the South Denbighshire Community Partnership have been awarded £71,273 Rural Futures funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to install a community workshop at the Pengwern Community Centre.
While taking part in the Rural Futures project, established residents’ group Friends of Pengwern consulted the local community for their views on how the local community centre could be better used. ....
