In 1987, after arriving in Canada as an immigrant, my first home was in the Ontario town of Ajax.
Friends had suggested the sleepy suburb east of Toronto as a good place to raise my two daughters, away from the hustle and bustle of Scarborough and Mississauga, where most South Asians congregated. ....
