Kota Kinabalu: An unemployed Filipino was sentenced 15 months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for molesting a woman.
Abu Abdul Raji, 37, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun to committing the crime on a 24-year-old woman at 6.30pm on Jan 17 this year in front of Ruby Inn hotel at Kg Air here.
Abu committed an offence under Section 354 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of up to 10 years or fine or whipping or any two of such punishment on conviction.

According to the prosecution, Abu was arrested by police for the offence on Jan 24 following a report lodged by the victim. ....
