by the time it came into view, they couldn t stop. some people in those crashed cars exited their vehicles to get away from the continuing impacts. dozens of first responders and police rushing to the scene. i just came back from the hospital. i had a ct scan because [inaudible] but thank god nothing serious. because of the jammed roads, clean-up took hours. tow trucks had a hard time getting to the cars that needed removing, and then police had to shut down the eastbound side as well because of rubber neckers further complicating the rescue. the crash happened in a construction zone, but police don t yet know if that was a factor. investigators say it is all a reminder of just how important it is to pay attention while driving. this occurred in the construction zone area, so the speed limits are lowered and monitored as well. we always ask people to make give yourself plenty of time
