Ng Ah Leak claimed trial to a charge of injuring a female dog in October last year. The charge, read out in Mandarin, stated that Ng was accused of unreasonably injuring a white bitch in the eye using an eight-foot long bamboo pole, inflicting pain and suffering. Ng allegedly committed the offence in a drain behind his house in Taman Tanjung Indah, Raja Uda in Seberang Prai, Butterworth at around 10.30pm on Oct 24.
