This is coming as the South-East Governors Forum has waded into the impasse between Uzodimma, and Okorocha. The PDP spokesperson in the state, Mr. Ogubundu Nwadike, in a statement issued yesterday said that the clash between the supporters of Okorocha and Uzodinma on Sunday at Royal Spring Estate, Owerri, was “disgusting”. The statement alleged that the actions of Uzodimma and Okorocha were causing tension and apprehension in the state. ....
Former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has suddenly found a new pastime – use of the name of Governor Hope Uzodimma to seek attention. No day passes without Senator Okorocha trying to use the name of Governor Uzodimma to either seek or divert attention of the public from activities linked to him, most of them reprehensible. Senator Okorocha’s recent ordeal where he wilfully broke the law by approaching the Royal Spring Estate belonging to his wife, to forcefully unseal it after the government had legally sealed the place, says it all about his mischievous intention to use Governor Uzodimma’s name to seek public notice. ....
Share There was mayhem in Imo State on Sunday as former governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, allegedly led a team of thugs to forcefully reclaim his wife’s Royal Palm Apartment Estate, recently sealed by the state government. Nigerian Tribune gathered that the estate was on Friday sealed by a government delegation led by Commissioner for Lands, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, who said the government was implementing the report of a Judicial Commission of Enquiry on land use which recommended recovery of the estate and possible demolition, having been built on government land which is also a ‘Green Verge.’ However, the altercation that ensued when Okorocha’s team met face to face with the government team later resulted in the arrest of the former governor and some of his former appointees who accompanied him to the estate. ....
