Gout is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis in adults.1 Gout prevalence is rising in the last few decades worldwide with an estimated prevalence of 3.9 per cent in the United States,2 0.9 – 2.4 per cent in Europe,3,4 and even higher in regions such as East Asia, wherein a country like Taiwan, 1 in 16 people has gout.5 ....
