Eager Britons have overwhelmed Buckingham Palace as it today stopped taking bookings amid a huge demand for tickets to picnic on the Queen s lawns and explore the Royal gardens.
Thousands logged onto the Royal Collection Trust website hoping to book the experience after the self-guided garden tours were announced yesterday.
But the RCT was forced to pause bookings at 6pm today as demand for the unique opportunity soared.
Taking to Twitter, the charity, which organises the openings of a number of royal residences, said: Demand has been so high that we have had to temporarily stop accepting new bookings #BuckinghamPalace.
