ROXANA Roxana School District Superintendent Debra Kreutztrager has named the 2020 Illinois Principals Association Superintendent of the Year for the Southwest region.
Kreutztrager said she was called in for an emergency over Google Meets. She was then greeted by the school administration team, directors and Roxana Police Chief Will Cunningham. Kreutztrager said when she was called in at first, she was in an emotional state.
“I did everything I could not to cry,” she said. “To emotionally go from thinking, ‘What could be next’ to just being surrounded by love and being lifted up was emotionally overwhelming.”
