lots to cover. joining us now, nbc news correspondent, former fbi special agent in charge and jim cavanaugh and georgia state representative. great to have all three of you with us. what do we know about the victims and how did law enforcement catch and identify the suspect so quickly? well, ayman, it really is a painful day here in atlanta in the wake of this massive shooting spree. we know eight people were killed. six of the victims were of asian descent. one person was also injured. this took place in about an hour or so yesterday around the 5:00 hour. initially, the first shooting location was in the cherokee county area of georgia, about 45 minutes from where we are right now. officials have just released some of the victims names. they include delaina ashley yaun, 33 years old, paul andre michels, 54, xiaojie yan, 49 and daoyuo feng, 44. they range in age from 54 to 33. how were they able to capture the suspect so quickly? apparently his parents alerted offi ....

Comes to power outages. nearly 300,000 lot of power alone in georgia. they knew the ice and snow built up on trees and power lines would cause problems. it took out. power crews are doing their best as quickly as possible. i have been there for years. here in the city of forest park in the 34e9 row atlanta area, this particular community we know that a lot of homes they do rely on electric for their power. some people have gas and they are luckier. people who are still waiting for power who are still waiting for heat will have to continue to weight until crews can get around to restoring it. don? that s the bad news. thank you very much for that. lisa desjardins is in baltimore, ....
