The Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau staff continues to work on ways to promote the numerous attractions this area has to offer. A new addition to its offerings is the three-day itinerary, which can help guide you to destinations around Madison, Macoupin, Montgomery, Jersey, Calhoun, and Greene counties.

There are changes in the traditional guides offered by the local tourism bureau. Gone are the spring, summer, fall, and winter publications. Now, there is a twice-a-year Go Guide, and it has recently been published.
So aside from going to just twice a year, how else has it changed? Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau President and CEO Cory Jobe tells The Big Z it will focus less on the calendar aspect of listing events.

The Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau is partnering with the Spirit of Peoria to offer a series of Mississippi River cruises this summer and fall. Returning this year is the interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise featuring the cast of Alton Little Theater. You can also enjoy a relaxing sightseeing cruise several times between July 14 and October 6.
