KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Minister for Forests and Environment Birendra Prasad Mahato has said forests would be taken as a medium to contribute to the prosperity of the country. Stating that the total forest cover has been 45 percent of the total area of the country, he stressed the need for working on taking maximum benefits from forests for contributing to the country's prosperity.
As per the MoU signed on Tuesday, the two organisations will collectively work towards the betterment of education and health, and initiate social service programmes during times of need.
