Zakir inaugurates naval ambulance service on Brahmaputra in Kurigram

RANGPUR, June 11, 2021 (BSS) – Naval ambulance service has been launched on the Brahmaputra river fulfilling the long-cherished hope of common people of Roumari and Rajibpur upazilas to easily reach Kurigram district town for health services.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain inaugurated the naval ambulance service in a function held on Thursday at Roumari River Ghat in Roumari upazila of Kurigram at the initiative of Popular General (PG) Hospital, Kurigram.
Former Additional Secretary Md Badrul Hasan Babul, Deputy Civil Surgeon of Kurigram Dr Borhan Uddin, Roumari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Al Imran, Upazila Chairman Sheikh Abdullah and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Rezaul Islam Minu were present.
It may abate in some more places, said the bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The Met office forecast for 24 hours was released at 6:00pm yesterday. Weather may remain dry, with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country s river basins and light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning, it added.
In the next 72 hours, the bulletin forecast that the temperature may rise further.
