Snapshot of rough sleepers show five were on Fenland s streets on one night last autumn

According to latest Government figures there were five people sleeping rough in this district when the latest snapshot into the issue was carried out last autumn.
The rough sleeping snapshot, published on Thursday (25), estimates the number of people on the streets on a single night - this year that was one night between October 1 and November 30.
A spokesperson for Fenland District Council said: The latest rough sleeper count figures show a 55 per cent drop in the number of rough sleepers in Fenland since 2019, and a 78 per cent decrease since 2018, which demonstrates the huge strides weâre making with our fantastic partners on our Homelessness Strategy and Rough Sleeping Action Plan towards ending rough sleeping for good.
