National Trust team clean up Lake district after vandals

People have been left outraged after vandals covered a popular beauty spot in graffiti
Upland rangers for the National Trust were forced to spend a day removing graffiti from Rough crag near the summit of Scafell Pike.
The team were left incredibly saddened to see this act of vandalism as this behaviour damages the landscape and spoils these places for everyone.
Upland areas are fragile, biodiverse habitats and this graffiti not only blighted the appearance of this beautiful location, it has potentially damaged lichens which have developed here over hundreds of years.
A National Trust spokesman said: “We are incredibly saddened by the vandalism which has been carried out at Rough Crag on Scafell Pike. This behaviour damages the landscape and spoils these places for everyone. ....
