Colgate skates to first ECAC title in program history During Women’s History Month, the Raiders rewrite their own history books. In a typical season, Colgate plays about 20 games in the first semester. This season, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Raiders participated in just six contests. Heading into the New Year, the Raiders were 4-1-1 including a 2-1-1 record over No. 7 Clarkson who ended their 2020 ECAC campaign. Colgate would start their conference schedule on a six-game winning streak. They would then go on to finish with an 8-4-0 record. ....
Three goals by three Colgate Raiders punch ticket to NCAA Tournament Dani Pluchinsky For the first time in program history, the No. 6 Colgate women’s hockey team are ECAC Tournament champions after defeating St. Lawrence 3-2 March 7. With the win, the Raiders are 15-6-1 overall and receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. St. Lawrence immediately pressured the Raiders’ defense, but some stellar blocked shots and saves by first-year Kayle Osborne kept the Saints off the board to start the period. At the 7:59 mark, the Saints took the lead and made it a 1-0 game. After more defensive saves, the Raiders created a ton of offensive momentum and began to pressure the net relentlessly. With 6:57 remaining in the first period, sophomore Kaitlyn O’Donohoe caused a turnover in the left faceoff zone and scored to tie the game up at 1-1. ....

The victory improves the Raiders to 4-0-0 in ECAC action (8-1-1 overall). It also marked the team s fourth straight win. The Golden Knights jumped out to an early lead off a rebound goal from Caitrin Lonergan just over four minutes into the game. ....
