As the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and 175 attendees celebrated the closing of another successful annual Campaign for Jewish Needs, the event honored two essential people involved in the campaign.
In two concurrent campaigns, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland raised a record $36,355,013 for its 2024 Campaign for Jewish Needs as well as $33,349,261 for its ongoing Israel Emergency Campaign.
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s annual Campaign for Jewish Needs will close with an event on Dec. 13 to announce the grand total and honor Jonathon Nisenboum.

Between its annual fundraising campaign and its COVID-19 relief fund, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland raised a grand total of $48.4 million this year.
More than 12,000 donors contributed 8,701 gifts totaling $33.1 million to the 2021 Campaign for Jewish Needs, the annual fundraising campaign that serves Jewish Cleveland and the global community, according to a news release. This is in line with what it raised in its 2020 campaign.
Additionally, with matching support from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation, the community raised $1 million for the Jewish Cleveland s Coronavirus Emergency Relief Fund and has contributed $15.4 million to the relief effort to date, according to the release.
Over the past year, the use of telehealth and virtual doctors appointments have seen a dramatic rise.
