Mega blood donation camp held in Manipur

Our CorrespondentImphal, Sep. 17 (EMN): A mega blood donation camp was held as part of the Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav at the main auditorium of Manipur Voluntary Health Association in Imphal, in the presence of the Manipur Health and Information Public Relations Minister Dr. S Ranjan Singh on Saturday. The drive was held on the theme “Donating blood is an act of solidarity, Join the effort and save lives”. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Dr. Ranjan said that mass awareness on blood donation is needed. He also maintained that by donating blood, a donor is saving a life. “Public seems to be unaware about the importance of blood donation. Donating blood is not harmful to the individual. It is rather a modality of health care through which one can have the opportunity to undergo different tests for health.
