Knocking on the door over the past couple of weeks, Rose Run Xtra put it all together to win the $20,000 co-featured Open Trot on Sunday (July 23) at MGM Northfield Park.
While Saulsbrook Genesis had been hitting the board in recent efforts against Open company at MGM Northfield Park, it has been a few weeks since the son of Sunshine Beach had scored a victory. That changed on Sunday (June 25) as he cruised to a comfortable win in the $20,000 co-featured event.
While no records were set this Sunday (June 4) at MGM Northfield Park, Flemsteen did manage to find his way back to the winners' circle, repeating in the $20,000 Open Trot.
The co-featured $20,000 Open Trot has been a race not to miss as of late at MGM Northfield Park, and on Sunday (May 28), that was no different as Flemsteen made things look easy, closing from off-the-pace to win by a nose.
