First frontline workers get COVID-19 vaccine at Meritus

For a change, Dr. Mohammed Aziz, May Hoffman and Rosana Bresette were on the receiving end of care coordinated by Meritus Health.
They were the first three of 169 Meritus Health front-line staff members who received the first round of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine Friday. The vaccine clinic will continue until all of the health system s initial 975 doses have been administered.
We expect to get it all done by Wednesday, said Maulik Joshi, Meritus Health president and CEO.
Joshi was on hand at the Robinwood Professional Center, adjacent to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown, to watch the process and talk with staffers as the first of the vaccine shots were administered. ....
