San Francisco voters passed Proposition G, a new Public Health Emergency Leave Ordinance. The ordinance requires private employers to provide paid leave to employees for public health emergencies, ordinance will be an addition to paid sick leave, will start on October 2022.

In early returns, San Francisco voters backed most measures on the city’s ballot Tuesday, including multiple anti-corruption efforts and a proposition to mandate public health leave for large employers.
