I have been an avid user of the Root River Bike Trail since 1998. I live three miles west of Houston on Highway 16 and a portion of the trail runs adjacent to my property. In recent years there’s been an increase of invasive species in the bike trail right-of-way. Buckthorn, honeysuckle and cedar trees have taken over many areas. In other areas wild parsnip is a real danger to bikers. ....
