Karl Jonathan Tyrrell, 48, had previously pleaded guilty, prior to his trial, to two charges of intimidating female staff at the Urbano32 restaurant on Bridge Street. He also admitted preventing police from arresting him by barricading himself in the Annex Serviced Accommodation, where he had been staying, in an incident lasting up to four hours. But magistrates chose, on Friday, January 15, not to send Tyrrell to prison after hearing a very positive letter written from homeless support service ForFutures, which detailed the positive progress Tyrrell had made in recent months. ....
