2021 Toyota Fortuner Launched; New Turbodiesel Variant Available

Besides the Innova facelift, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has also launched the 2021 Toyota Fortuner for Malaysia, with updated styling, safety and powertrain choices. There are two variants of the Toyota Fortuner available i.e. Fortuner 2.8 VRZ (RM203,183) and Fortuner 2.7 SRZ (RM172,244).
The Fortuner 2.8 VRZ is a new variant to replace the superseded Fortuner 2.4 VRZ. It is a 4×4 that runs a 2.8L turbodiesel engine with 204 PS @ 3,000 – 3,400 rpm and 500 Nm of torque @ 1,600 – 2,800 rpm transferred to the wheels by a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifting. This new 1GD-FTV 4-cylinder common-rail diesel engine features a heavy-duty variable nozzle turbocharger and intercooler. A balance shaft helps reduce vibrations and lowers noise levels while high efficiency is achieved with the electronically-controll ....
