Former Masaka bishop succumbs to Covid-19 Thursday January 21 2021 Advertisement Rev Fr Ronald Mayanja, the diocesan communications director, confirmed that Bishop Kaggwa succumbed to Covid -19. “It’s true the Bishop has gone to be with the Lord; he succumbed to Covid-19, which he has been battling for two months,” Fr Mayanja said in a telephone interview last evening. Bishop Kaggwa retired in 2018 at the age of 75 and was succeeded by Bishop Severus Jjumba on July 6, 2019. The deceased bishop will for long be remembered for promoting social-economic development and open remarks on governance and political issues.
