Record amounts of rainfall at hiroshima loosened the ground sending several hillsides thundering intoes residential areas below. 32 people were killed, nine others are missing. The torrential rains started out in the morning and it just kept coming. More than 200 millimeters fell in two hours. Thats more than the average amount for the entire month. All that rain made the ground unstable, then hillsides gave way, sending mud sliding into homes and leaving a trail of debris. Firefighters and police are trying to find people swept away.
