Reporter but it was apparently the actions of an approaching motorist that scared off the attacker. He turned on his bright and began honking his horn. The man ultimately let go of the victim. I think it is fair to say were it not for their inrvention it is likely he would have succeeded in his cad nap and would have taken the victim in his vehicle. Reporter the suspect got away but not for long. Police wont say how, but they tracked him down next day in petaluma where officers took him into custody of after a pursuit. It is frightening. I assume my own safety, but i guess i shouldnt. Reporter people we talked to, women especially who regularly walk at night in pacific heights, are shaken by news of the attempted kidnap. They say it is a good reminder to remain vigilant at all times. Try not to look at my phone and be aware of who is around me and what no ....
