If they had kept River Road golf course open, they could have made money by fining golfers who decided to “break the law” and play a round just like they did to those morons last week who hopped the fence to play at Fanshawe. Kettles, no staff Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, my volunteer shifts at the kettles have come to an end this year. The Salvation Army still needs your contributions to meet their goals. Please continue to give electronically via tap at the unstaffed kettles. Thank you. Ron Earnshaw, London Donations needed As a long time volunteer with the Salvation Army, kettles and Christmas hampers, I am so disappointed that the kettles have been cancelled, because of the pandemic, even though stores remain open. This will be two weeks’ worth of donations the Salvation Army will not be receiving for their Christmas meals for the disadvantaged and toys for the kids. If you choose to donate to the Salvation Army please call them at 1-800-725-2769. Hopefully the kettles will return next year. ....
